About the Blog
This blog has been through a lot over the past few years. It started out as a class project for one of my Kent State University PR courses. I was asked to create a PR blog with a niche focus, and I chose hockey. Then it transformed during the summer I interned with a professional NHL team. There were a few brief revivals, but nothing lasted.
Now I’m done with school, working in the real world, and ready to get back to writing about what I love. The plan is for this blog to serve as my sounding board for all things hockey-related. I’m not sure where it will really take me, but I’m going to start fresh with the 2013-2014 season and see where I end up.
Preferably with a Pittsburgh Penguins championship.
Although I am a die-hard Penguins fan, I plan to cover all teams and topics on this blog. I generally pay a little bit more attention to the teams where my siblings live – Boston, Raleigh, Washington DC. And as a new Clevelander, I’ll be following the Lake Erie Monsters (AHL) this year.
I hope you’ll stay tuned throughout the season and comment on the posts that fire you up. Thanks for stopping by!
